02 — What's next
Room for one big thing.
Backpack runs itself. POV Tickets is built and launching. TicketList is in discovery. For the first time in ten years, my calendar has a product-shaped hole in it — and I'm being deliberate about what fills it. I want a problem that touches a lot of people, with distribution or capital already behind it. I'll bring the part I'm best at: turning it into a product people pay for.
Technical co-founder
You know a market deeply, or you own an audience. I do the rest: research → build → launch → first paying customers. As a partner with skin in the game, not a contractor with a timesheet.
Venture builder in residence
Your company has a brand, customers and capital — and a hunch about a new product or line of business. I build it inside or alongside your org, from customer interviews to first revenue. The title varies — entrepreneur in residence, venture builder, head of new products. The job is the same.
A scoped 0→1 engagement
A clear start, a clear end, a serious budget. Roughly three to six months from idea to first paying customers. On a great fit, I'm open to structures with skin in the game.
- ✓The problem is real. People already complain about it — loudly, repeatedly, with money.
- ✓Distribution exists. An audience, a customer base, a brand — or the capital to build one. I've learned not to build great products behind closed doors.
- ✓It can matter at scale. I want the next ten years to touch millions of people, not dozens.
- ✓You want a partner, not a pair of hands. I'll tell you when the emperor has no clothes. That's most of my value.
- ✗"I have an idea, you build it, we split it 50/50." Not unless the idea comes with users, revenue, or an unfair advantage.
- ✗Staff augmentation, maintenance, "we just need a Laravel dev." Not me — but I'll happily introduce you to UPDIVISION, who are excellent at exactly that.
- ✗Anything I couldn't proudly explain to my mother. She asks a lot of questions.
Pitch me the problem.
Three paragraphs is plenty: the problem, why you're the right person or company to solve it, and what exists already — users, revenue, budget, audience. I read everything that isn't spam, and I answer fast when it's a fit.
